Rangers boss Paul Le Guen is reportedly keeping an eye on unsettled Toulouse striker Bryan Bergougnoux.

The former France Under-21 international is unhappy with his lack of starting opportunities at Toulouse, with seven of his 10 Ligue 1 appearances this term coming from the bench.

His representatives have already met club officials to discuss the situation and he could be on the move in the New Year, if he fails to break into Elie Baup's team.

Reports in France have linked Rangers with a bid for the 23-year-old, who worked with Le Guen during his time at Lyon.

Le Guen is thought to remain an admirer of the forward and is believed to be taking an interest in Bergougnoux's situation at Stadium Municipal.

In addition to Rangers, Italian side Palermo are also watching the matter closely with a view to a January bid.

Palermo coach Francesco Guidolin, who formerly coached Monaco, is a fan of Bergougnoux from his time working in France.
