Rangers boss Paul Le Guen has confirmed he expects to have Dado Prso fit for the Old Firm match on Saturday.
The Croatian international missed the Light Blues' shock defeat to Hibernian last weekend because of a knee injury.
Le Guen lambasted his stars for their display in the Easter Road loss, but is confident the 31-year-old will return for his first crunch clash with arch-rivals Celtic.
"Prso won't play tomorrow against Dunfermline in the League Cup, but I hope to have him back for Saturday," Le Guen revealed.
French midfielder Jeremy Clement is also expected to be on the sidelines for Wednesday's third round match, though he is set to miss the Glasgow derby.
"Jeremy won't be able to play and he won't be able to play on Saturday either. It is bad news for us."
Currently languishing in third, Gers have the chance to usurp The Bhoys at the top of the table with a win.
