Paul Le Guen's unbeaten start to the SPL season is over thanks to a brace from Hibernian striker Chris Killen.
The French tactician had three wins and three draws from his first six games, however, that run was ended by Hibernian on Sunday.
Ex-Man City striker Killen opened the scoring after eight minutes for the home side, a lead they held for nearly an hour.
Filip Sebo levelled matters for the Glasgow giants shortly after, but they failed to hold onto their point.
Killen bagged his second late on, however, he was later sent off in a frantic finish that saw both sides finish a man light.
Two-goal hero Killen saw red for collecting two yellow cards, and Rangers also finished a man down when on-loan Phil Bardsley also secured his second booking.
Elsewhere, Hearts returned to winning ways following their midweek Uefa Cup disappointment with a 1-0 win at Motherwell.
Young striker Jamie Mole was the hero for Hearts by netting the only goal of the game after 69 minutes.
