SPL round-up

A second half collapse against Falkirk has seen the pressure mount on Alex McLeish.

A second half collapse at home to Falkirk has seen the pressure mount further on the already beleaguered Rangers manager Alex McLeish.

A first half own goal from the visitors' Craig Ireland appeared to put Rangers in the driving seat and McLeish would have been preparing to celebrate an Ibrox victory when Peter Lovenkrands dispatched a 56th minute penalty.

However, it was not to be as The Gers capitulated in two second half minutes when first Alan Gow (69) halved the arrears before Pedro Moutinho snatched an unlikely draw.

Hearts, who are now 16 points ahead of Rangers, moved back to the top of the SPL with a 2-1 win over Livingston at Tynecastle.

An early brace from Rudolf Skacel was enough to account for the visitors who did threaten a fightback after Allan Walker struck three minutes after the hour mark.

Hibernian slipped up, losing 1-0 at Dundee United for whom Collin Samuel was the matchwinner on the hour.

Dunfermline and Livingston appear cut off at the bottom after the former suffered their 13th defeat of an increasingly desperate campaign.

Kris Boyd's 41st minute strike earned Kilmarnock a 1-0 win at East End Park.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle are upwardly mobile after a 2-0 victory over Motherwell saw them leapfrog over their opponents at Fir Park.

After a goalless first period Craig Dargo scored on 63 and repeated the trick two minutes from time to confirm the win.
