Sweden international Kim Kallstrom is flattered by reports linking him with Rangers but is in no hurry to quit Rennes.

Speculation has suggested that Kallstrom is a summer target for Rangers, while Dutch giants Ajax are also monitoring his progress.

Kallstrom has established himself as a key figure for Rennes since he joined the French club from Djurgardens in January 2004.

The midfielder was the subject of interest from Sevilla last summer but Rennes rejected the Spanish side's overtures.

Rennes are believed to value the 22-year-old at a minimum of ‚é¼10 million, while they are also keen to extend his contract beyond 2007.

For his part, Kallstrom is in no rush to leave Rennes and does not feel a switch to Ibrox would enhance his prospects with the international team.

"This is all news to me," Kallstrom told Sportbladet regarding the links to Rangers and Ajax.

"Naturally it is flattering if it is correct but I have got two years left on my contract with Rennes and I am very happy here.

"I believe that Lasse (Swedish coach Lars Lagerback) will follow me well here in France. The most important thing is that I have become a better footballer.

"I have developed both my game and become mentally stronger when the competition has got tougher."
