SCOTLAND coach Berti Vogts has added Rangers striker Steve Thompson and Dundee midfielder Gavin Rae to his squad to face Germany next week.
Rae had been on the stand-by list, but has been called into the full squad for the crucial Euro 2004 qualifier at Hampden Park on June 7.
Thompson is set to start in the game as Don Hutchison is struggling for match fitness and Kevin Kyle failed to impress in last week's draw with New Zealand
"It's 50-50 for Don. He has worked very, very hard to get fit but he needs practice. He's desperate to be involved," said Vogts.
"I told Thompson during the week and he is delighted he is back.
"He did so well with Stevie Crawford against Iceland and Canada, then not so well against Austria, but he needs practice. A lot of our players do. But I have a lot of confidence in him."
