The 29-year-old Venezia striker has been in scintillating form despite the plight of his club adrift at the bottom of Serie A.
Maniero has scored 14 times for the Venetian side this year, but want-away president Maurizio Zamparini has already insisted that the club will offload the player in preparation for relegation.
Rangers were the side credited with the strongest interest, but Maniero anticipates offers from other Serie A sides.
"I enjoy playing in Italy," said Maniero. "In some countries there are just one or two teams that can win the title, but in Italy there are always several candidates.
"As for my future, if there are offers then I would prefer to stay in my home country, although that depends on which foreign clubs are interested in me."
