RANGERS boss Alex McLeish has played down speculation linking Dundee keeper Jamie Langfield with a move to Ibrox.

The impressive young Scottish shot-stopper is much admired north of the border, but McLeish has denied that any deal is imminent to take him to Glasgow.

"Jamie Langfield is a good, young goalkeeper, although things haven't worked out for him this season," he stated.

"But I've not made any plans to take him to Rangers."

Stefan Klos is the undisputed number one at Ibrox, with Allan McGregor making a rare appearance against Forfar, and Jesper Christiansen out on loan.

Julian Speroni has managed to keep Langfield out of the side at Dens Park, and has caught attention himself from top clubs on the continent.
