Ronny Deila feels Motherwell will be facing a different Celtic side at Fir Park on Saturday than they did in September.

The 1-1 draw against the Steelmen at Celtic Park left the Hoops five points adrift of then Scottish Premiership leaders Dundee United, but the reigning champions' form has improved steadily since.

Deila's men beat Partick 1-0 in a tough encounter in midweek to move three points clear of Inverness at the top of the table, while Motherwell have disappeared in the other direction and face a relegation battle under caretaker-boss Kenny Black.

"We go into every game to win and we know we can win every game in the league if we are on top form," said Deila, whose side are on a six-game winning streak.

"I think it is going to be the same type of game as it was against Thistle.

"We will have a lot of the ball and it will be hard to break them down so we need movement and tempo to open them up.

"The first-half was poor against Motherwell the last time but we were better in the second half. However, that we didn't win that game is something to avenge.

"We need to be at another level than we were then to get the three points because it is harder to play away than at home. But we are at another level now and enjoying every game."

Defender Adam Matthews echoed Deila's position about the difference in Celtic's form over the last couple of months.

He added: "Hopefully we can keep building on that gap and keep our good run going because I think we're starting to show what we can do now.

"It's always tough when you go away to Motherwell. They've been a top side for the last couple of years and we know what to expect. We know we need to be on top of our game to get the result we want.

"They'll take confidence from the last time they played us but I think we are a different team now."
