Rangers have been drawn against Inverness in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Communities League Cup.

The Gers' reward for defeating Motherwell in the previous round is another home tie against Scottish Premier League opposition.

Glasgow rivals Celtic will out for revenge after being drawn at home to St Johnstone. Saints shocked Neil Lennon's side in the SPL last month, winning 2-1 at McDiarmid Park.

Aberdeen have been handed a home tie against St Mirren, while Hearts visit Tannadice looking for a repeat of the 3-0 victory over Dundee United which they secured last month.

Quarter-final draw:

Tuesday, October 30:

Aberdeen v St. Mirren (7.45)

Celtic v St. Johnstone (7.45)

Wednesday, October 31:

Rangers v Inverness (7.45)

Dundee United v Hearts (7.15)
