United boss to take time in goalkeeper search

Dundee United manager Craig Levein insists he has not approached Kilmarnock regarding Alan Combe. Levein is on the look-out for a goalkeeper to replace Lukasz Zaluska, who has agreed a deal to move to Celtic at the end of the season. Speculation has suggested that Combe - who will be a free agent in the summer - is Levein's No.1 target, but the Tannadice boss is adamant he has yet to make a decision. "I've not contacted Kilmarnock or anyone else," Levein said in the Daily Record when asked about Combe - who spent five years with United between 1998 and 2003. "I have said all along that I'm going to take my time and look at all the options. "Lukasz is not going anywhere in January so I have loads of time to assess who is available. "It might be nearer the summer before I get something sorted out and I wouldn't rule out seeing a few trialists coming in."
