Scotland defender Gary Caldwell has admitted he is doubtful for this weekend's Euro 2008 qualifier against Ukraine.
Caldwell suffered a knee injury in Celtic's 2-1 victory over Gretna on Sunday and completed the match in discomfort.
He is desperate to be fit for this Saturday's clash, and the game against Georgia next week, but is not sure he will be able to feature.
"I took a bang to the side of my knee as I went up for a header and it was a sore one," Caldwell told the Evening Times.
"I played on, but I'll just have to wait and see how things are.
"I was given painkillers after the game and ice to put on my knee and the physios at Celtic will have a look at the injury and see how it is.
"Obviously I can't say at this time for sure if I'll be fit to play on Saturday against Ukraine.
"We'll have to wait and see, but it goes without saying that I'm hoping it will ease off and I'll be okay to join up with the rest of the Scotland squad."
Caldwell's Celtic team-mate Paul Hartley looks set to miss both Scotland's games with a hamstring injury, while Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher is still struggling with a knee problem.
