Celtic striker Kenny Miller has vowed to fight for a starting place at Parkhead in order to ensure he remains at the head of Scotland's pecking order.Miller has played a key part for Scotland in their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign, but the change of head coach from Walter Smith to Alex McLeish has increased uncertainty regarding team selection.
Former Wolves striker Miller has had to play a bit-part role at Parkhead this term, but he is not prepared to accept a place on the bench.
"I want to keep my place in the national team and, if I'm not playing regularly, I'll not get that," the 27-year-old told Celtic TV.
"I'm not happy to be sitting on the bench or in the stand."
Jan vennegoor of Hesselink has led the line with distinction this term and Miller faces stiff competition from Craig Beattie, Maciej Zurawski and Derek Riordan for a place alongside the Dutchman.
Miller added: "I've not played too much football recently and that's something I'm not too happy about, to be honest.
"This is a great place to work. But I didn't come here to sit and watch games."
