Celtic striker Craig Beattie has set his sights on securing a starting place in the side to face Milan in the UEFA Champions League.
The Scottish champions tackle Milan in the last 16 next month as Celtic play in the knockout stages for the first time.
Beattie is determined to stake his claim to be involved against Milan by producing the goods in the SPL.
The 23-year-old has been given a run in the side recently after seeing the last 18 months ravaged by injury and he insists every player at the club is motivated to face the Italian giants.
"Everyone who is in here wants to play in that game and help the club go further in the Champions League," Beattie told Celtic View.
"And that in itself is pushing people to pick their performances up and work that bit harder to try to get in the team for that game.
"You could say that it's working hand in hand with our league performances and I think it's a benefit to be perfectly honest.
"You want to go and test yourself at a different level, against players of the quality of Kaka, Cafu and Paolo Maldini and I just can't wait for it.
"I just hope that I can do enough in the coming weeks to stake my claim and I am desperate to be involved."
