Wisla Krakow striker Maciej Zurawski has revealed he is set for talks with Celtic next week.

The Polish international claims he is due to arrive in Glasgow next Monday to discuss a possible move to Parkhead.

Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan is a big admirer of the 28-year-old and watched him and Legia Warsaw goalkeeper Artur Boruc in action in midweek.

Wisla admitted earlier this week that they had received an enquiry regarding Zurawski from Celtic and the player is hopeful of sealing a move to the Scottish giants.

"On Monday I hope to be in Glasgow. I will be talking with Gordon Strachan and I hope Celtic will offer me a contract," Zurawski told The Scottish Daily Mail.

"This is a very exciting possibility for me and I hope we can agree something."

Meanwhile, Celtic are also being linked with a move for Hibernian defender Steven Whittaker.

Strachan is in the market for new defenders having lost Jackie McNamara and Joos Valgaeren and he is thought to be tracking Scottish Under-21 international Whittaker.
