Celtic goalkeeper Rab Douglas may be ruled out of the Scottish Cup final because of the need for hip surgery.
The Scottish international has been plagued by the problem for some time and it is now looking increasingly likely that he will go under the knife before the end of the current campaign.
Douglas will meet with surgeons this week and if deemed unfit for the final, Celtic boss Martin O'Neill will be left with only David Marshall with first team experience.
Douglas' agent Blair Morgan has confirmed that surgery is needed and that it may be required before the end of the season.
''We thought it was a problem which would be cured by rest but there is now the possibility Rab may need a small operation,'' Morgan told the Daily Record.
''They might need to operate right away, although perhaps they could wait until the season is over.''
