The Bhoys were rarely troubled in the one-sided game, which they could have easily have won by more.
The goals came from Stilian Petrov, Henrik Larsson and recent signing Stephen Pearson, before Steve Tosh pulled one back for The Dons - who worked hard, but without much invention.
Larsson (pictured) and Hartson both missed good early chances for Celtic and should have scored, before the deadlock was broken after 30 minutes.
Bulgarian star Petrov grabbed the goal as he drilled the ball past David Preece from 25 yards.
The second goal seemed to kill off the game as a contest and that came just before the interval when Larsson volleyed home from close range off a good cross from Jackie McNamara.
The lead was further increased just before the hour when Pearson grabbed his first goal for the club, when he scooped the ball home from close range after Larsson's shot was deflected into his path.
Aberdeen never gave up the ghost and continued battling throughout and did grab a deserved consolation through Tosh, who turned on the edge of the six-yard box and finished well - after David Zdrillic's shot was blocked.
