Celtic manager Ronny Deila has warned his players to be prepared for a bruising encounter when they take on Rangers at Hampden on Sunday.
Deila believes tensions will be running high in the League Cup semi-final and that his side will have to match the enthusiasm of their opponents in order to take control of the tie.
"Every game against Rangers has been physical and we have to be up for that," said the Norwegian.
"Especially at the start of the game, there is going to be a lot of emotion and energy but it will settle down and then we have to show the quality.
"We have to take the fight to them, show them who is dominant on the pitch and then we have to play."
But Deila played down expectations of an easy win for Celtic among some observers of the Scottish game.
A week after Cambridge drew with Manchester United, Middlesbrough beat Manchester City and Bradford came from two goals down to knock Chelsea out of the FA Cup, Deila insists it would be foolish to dismiss any lower league opponents.
"Anything can happen in the cup," Deila said.
The Celtic boss pointed to the relative financial strength of Rangers in terms of their playing budget, by pointing out it is the "second biggest in Scotland".
Bu Deila conceded the Championship side are not the closest challengers to the Hoops in Scotland.
"There are five or six teams they would be among," he said. "I would not say they are the second-best team.
"We have confidence because we have had a lot of good results and performances lately.
"But we have to treat every opponent with respect and as I said, anything can happen in the cup."
