The Scottish Cup fifth round draw was made at Hampden Park and Celtic and Rangers face Dundee and Raith Rovers respectively

Holders St Johnstone have been paired with Championship side Queen of the South in the fifth-round draw for the Scottish Cup.

With so many top-flight sides falling by the wayside at the weekend, only two all-Premiership ties were pulled out by former Saints boss Owen Coyle and Eddie Thompson of the competition's sponsors William Hill.

Champions Celtic travel to Dundee, who beat Aberdeen last Saturday, while Partick Thistle - 2-0 victors over Hamilton at Firhill - face Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Rangers, who lost to Raith Rovers in the final of the Ramsdens Cup last April, have the chance of revenge after being paired with their Championship rivals, while junior club Spartans have been handed a realistic chance of reaching the last eight with a home tie against Berwick Rangers.

Dundee manger Paul Hartley is pleased that they will be facing the Scotish Champions Celtic at Dens Park

No fear

Commenting on the draw, Dundee boss Paul Hartley, a Scottish Cup winner with Hearts and Celtic, told Sky Sports News HQ: "It's a game that we won't fear, and one we look forward to.

"Hopefully our form will be good up until then. The tie is still a little bit away but its a cup tie and it's one we want to get through as we want to win the Scottish Cup."

Celtic coach John Kennedy, a team-mate of Hartley's towards the end of his playing days in 2007, is looking forward to the tie but admits his side face a difficult task to secure their place in the last eight.

"Paul has taken Dundee to a new level, he has brought in some really good players and you could see that at the weekend in the victory over Aberdeen," he said.

"The team are playing for him and he has a real good spirit there so for us going to Dundee is going to be a very tough task."
