Celtic are currently on a run of 21 games unbeaten after Saturday's 3-0 win over Motherwell and Mulgrew believes that the champions are now well equipped to challenge on all fronts.
The Scottish centre-back does admit, though, that morale has been boosted by the arrival of Stefan Johansen from Norwegian side Stromsgodset.
Speaking to the Daily Record, he said: "We're happy with the squad we've got but we welcome anybody who comes in.
"But, if not, we feel we're strong enough to go on and do well by keeping playing the way we are just now.
"Even if there aren't any more new faces coming in we've got a strong team spirit and we feel as if we have a powerful enough squad anyway to continue doing well."
Speaking about the arrival of Johansen, Mulgrew said "He's got a challenge to get into the team but he's still young, so we'll be patient with him and I'm sure he'll do well."
