Ross County manager Derek Adams insists the club are still interested in a loan move for Cardiff City midfielder Filip Kiss.
The Staggies boss announced on Monday that the club are close to securing loan deals with Manchester City goalkeeper Eirik Johansen and former County defender Evangelos Oikonomou as what looks set to be a busy January transfer window begins.
And Adams has retained an interest in Solvakia Under-21 international Kiss after putting the 23-year-old through trials earlier in December.
Kiss made 26 appearances for the Bluebirds during a season-long loan from Slovan Bratislava in 2011-12 but went on to feature only twice in the following campaign.
However, with the recent sacking of Cardiff manager Malky Mackay, Adams understands there will be complications in trying to secure a deal for the playmaker.
"We are still looking at Filip [Kiss] but there is a problem as Cardiff have just lost their manager," he told the Daily Record.
Meanwhile, Adams also confirmed County's Swiss defender Mihael Kovacevic has been granted compassionate leave after his father was taken ill.
He added: "Mihael hasn't left the club but has been allowed time to be back home with his father."
