Kilmarnock chairman Michael Johnston insists that he is not quitting the club.

Having secured investment from local businessman Billy Bowie - who is now the club's second largest shareholder - it has been suggested that Johnston could depart.

But Johnston insists he is not going anywhere and said: "I don't know where the rumours about me selling up came from but they are untrue."

On Bowie's latest investment, he added: "How the money is used has still to be ironed out but Billy and I both hope it might encourage other local businessmen to invest in the club."
