Ross County manager Derek Adams is hoping to appeal against the red card Richie Brittain received against Den Bosch.
The midfielder was sent off for a retaliatory trip in the 1-0 friendly defeat in Holland on Tuesday night and Adams now fears he will be suspended for the opening game of the season at Celtic.
County lost Stuart Kettlewell to suspension early last season following a similar incident.
Adams said: "It is not right what's happened. It is the second time we've played Den Bosch and the second time we've had a sending-off for an innocuous challenge.
"It's hard because we've lost another player for the first game of the season - and that's not right.
"To lose Richard against Celtic would be terrible, but we'll wait to see what transpires over the next few days. I don't know if there are avenues for appeal but I will find out."
