Steve Lomas has expressed thanks to former club St Johnstone after being appointed Millwall boss.
The Northern Irishman took over the reins at The Den from Kenny Jackett, who resigned at the end of last season after five-and-a-half years at the club.
And Lomas, who joined Saints in 2011, is confident his successor Tommy Wright will bring success to the club.
"I loved my time at St Johnstone but being away from my two kids, who live in the London area, for long spells was hard," said Lomas.
"Having family in the London area was a big incentive for me to take the Millwall job.
"I leave behind a lot of good people at Saints and wish them well, everyone the club, the chairman, the fans.
"St Johnstone gave me a chance in senior club management and I had some great times there.
"Tommy Wright has taken over from me and I hope the chairman backs him. I'm confident Tommy will do a good job."
