Ross County have sealed a deal for Dutch midfielder Melvin de Leeuw, Sky Sports can confirm.
The 25-year-old forward is out of contract at SC Cambuur, but has now opted to make the move to Britain.
De Leeuw has agreed a two-year deal at Victoria Park and will join them on a free transfer when the transfer window reopens on July 1.
Speaking to Sky Sports, his agent Eelco Groen confirmed the deal.
"Melvin has agreed the deal with Ross County and he is delighted," he said.
"He has always been considered something of a British style footballer and we think his style will be ideal for Scotland, and perhaps after that England."
Groen admits that De Leeuw would love the chance to play in England, but insists he is more than happy to make the step with Ross County.
"Obviously any player would want to play in England, but he will now be playing at Celtic Park and such venues, so he is really excited and up for this challenge and cannot wait to get started," he added.
