Falkirk have drawn up a shortlist of five as they seek a replacement for Steven Pressley as manager.

Former Hearts boss John McGlynn is among the men linked with the vacant position following Pressley's departure to Coventry City earlier this month.

Interviews will now commence next week, although the club insists there are no front-runners for the job.

Chairman Martin Ritchie told the club's official website: "We continue to have an open-mind about who will be appointed - at the moment we have no favourites for the role.

"We have set some very clear criteria. The candidates should have the ability to create a successful team through winning, attack minded football.

"They should also be focussed on sustained youth development and be able to create value through recruitment, development and sale of players.

"The job is not just about putting out a team on Saturdays. It is a seven days a week management job covering staff management, coaching, communications and finance."
