Jimmy Calderwood: Could he be the next Dundee boss?
Jimmy Calderwood has emerged as a leading candidate to replace Barry Smith who was sacked by Dundee on Wednesday.
The 57-year-old has not worked since losing his job with Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles last May.
Sky Sports News believe Calderwood is in the frame along with former St Mirren and Queen of the South manager Gus McPherson.
Although Calderwood says he has not been contacted by the Dens Park club concerning the vacancy, he did call it an "attractive proposition."
McPherson, meanwhile, left Queen of the South at the end of last season following the club's relegation.
Dundee are currently 15 points adrift at the base of the SPL table.
Meanwhile, Smith's assistant Ray Farningham and goalkeeper coach Bobby Geddes will take training at Dundee.
