Alan Maybury hails Liam Craig ahead of Hibernian v St Johnstone in SPL

Hibernian defender Alan Maybury expects the Easter Road faithful to appreciate Liam Craig's commitment to St Johnstone when he takes to the field against his future employers.

St Johnstone, who are a point behind Hibs in the Scottish Premier League, managed to strengthen their squad last month as well as holding on to Craig with midfielders Michael Doughty, Mehdi Abeid and Gwion Edwards all signing on loan from Barclays Premier League clubs. St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas said: "We got them in to increase competition and to compete for places in the team and a move to the SPL is good for them as well. "We have lost a few senior players and the boys were very hungry, very keen to play here. "The senior players know that if they don't perform then the boys are capable of coming in."
