Ross County manager Derek Adams has welcomed Greek left-back Evangelos Ikonomou to Dingwall on the club's return from their Spanish training camp.
The 25-year-old, who has signed from Greek side Atromitos until the end of the season, joined the County squad in Malaga and was soon right at home, according to Adams.
"He's settled in well and got to know the players," the manager told the North Star.
"He brings good experience of playing in the Greek league. He's been across here with us, and we had him watched in Greece. He's a strong defender, I'm sure he's going to be a good signing."
Ikonomou is County's third acquisition of the month following on the heels of Ivan Sproule and Canadian defender Andre Hainault and Adams is convinced his revamped squad will reap the benefit of their productive warm-weather trip.
"We had very good training for four days and a bit of sunshine, but we're back to the cold now," he added.
"It was a great week, the training was hard but the warm climate helped. We had a good time and the players enjoyed themselves.
"You can see there's an improvement in freshness and fitness after a break, they've been in action since June and it always benefits them to have some time away to clear their heads."
