Adam Matthews has said sorry for Celtic's shock loss to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League.
Cillian Sheridan's goal and Liam Kelly's penalty stunned Parkhead on Saturday as Neil Lennon's team were brought down to earth with a bump.
Matthews has apologised to Celtic supporters for the result and performance and is now determined to respond in Tuesday's League Cup game against St Johnstone.
He said in the Daily Record: "We were nowhere near our top gear and we just want to say sorry to our fans for that performance.
"We are disappointed, not just with the result but the performance. It was just a bad game and we have to try to do better next time.
"Our passing was very poor, especially in the first half, and the decision-making was shocking, too.
"Hopefully we can put it right on Tuesday against St Johnstone."
