Neil Lennon is expecting a fierce encounter between the Celtic players who will face each other when Wales tackle Scotland on Friday.

Celtic could have six players on show at the Cardiff City Stadium for the Group A World Cup qualifier.

A late call-up for Kris Commons means he joins Scott Brown, James Forrest and Charlie Mulgrew in the Scotland pool, while Adam Matthews and Joe Ledley are likely to start for Wales.

Lennon indicated his players have been relishing the match, and the Irishman just hopes they all come through the encounter unscathed.

"I am thinking of going to the game but I don't know if that is a good idea or not," Lennon said.

"There was plenty of banter flying around but I hope there is not too much fur flying at the game. It will be tasty that's for sure."
