Dundee United manager Peter Houston has revealed he has not been offered a new deal at Tannadice and is waiting to hear back from the club's chairman over his future.

Houston is in the final year of his current contract with the Tangerines, where he has been at the helm for three years.

The 54-year-old, who won the Scottish Cup with United in his debut season at the club in 2009-10, admits his future looks uncertain at this point but says there is still plenty of time for him to sign a new deal.

He told the Daily Record: "There is nothing on the table for me. A lot of people have been asking me why I haven't signed a new deal - it's because I have not been offered one, basically.

"Who knows what will happen? The chairman has not got back to my agent John Colquhoun.

"If it's to be the end of May when I move on from here then I'll look back with fond memories.

"But, in saying that, there might be an offer put on the table for me. I don't know.

"It's a wee bit early to jump into things just now. John is waiting on a call from the chairman who, no doubt, has a lot of issues to deal with. But I'd expect him to get in touch."
