Dylan McGeouch is targeting a return to training next week following his recovery from a broken jaw sustained against Real Madrid last month.
The Celtic forward suffered the injury in a collision with Real midfielder Nuri Sahin, who is now on loan at Liverpool, during the second half of the friendly in Philadelphia.
The injury was not as bad as first feared and he is now on the verge of resuming full training with the rest of the first-team squad.
"Being out for a few weeks has been frustrating as everything has been fine with my legs but it's been a waiting game with my jaw," McGeouch told the club's official website.
"So hopefully I can get back into training this week and push on and get back into the squad as soon as possible and see how it goes.
"The surgeon just said it depends on how I feel at this stage, so hopefully I will start training on Monday and get a full week under my belt.
"I'll see where it takes me. I'll see how I feel after that and hopefully it won't be too long."
