Thomas Rogne has revealed Celtic have opened talks with him about a new deal at Parkhead.
The Norwegian is in the final year of his contract and the club are keen to tie him down to a new long-term deal.
Rogne, who joined the Bhoys from Stabaek in January 2010, has established himself as a key figure in Neil Lennon's plans after a difficult start to his Celtic career.
The 22-year-old insists he is happy to stay at Celtic and envisages no problem with his contract talks.
"There's been some talks and my agent is coming over again soon. I'm happy here so we'll see what happens," Rogne told the Daily Record.
"I think Celtic know I'd like to stay here and I think they want to keep me.
"If that's the case it should be a formality."
