Ramsden pens one-year deal with SPL side

Motherwell have signed former Bradford defender Simon Ramsden on a free transfer. The 30-year-old has been training with the Steelmen for the past three weeks after his contract at Valley Parade expired at the end of last season. The former Sunderland and Grimsby player has penned a one-year deal at Fir Park. Ramsden is now eligible for the upcoming UEFA Champions League qualifiers against Greek outfit Panathinaikos. "It seems as if I have been here for a while already," said Ramsden. "I went to Portugal with all the lads at the start of the month and that was really good in terms of getting to know everyone as you're spending 24 hours a day with them all. "Everyone is making me feel very welcome and it's nice to get everything sorted. I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead."
