Andy Little: Deal agreed for striker with newco Rangers
Andy Little is set to sign for Rangers again subject to their return to the Scottish Football Association.
The striker has agreed a new deal with the newco Rangers, who are waiting for confirmation that they can play in the Irn-Bru Division Three next season.
Little, 23, scored five times for the Ibrox club in the Scottish Premier League towards the end of last season after drawing a blank during a loan spell with Port Vale.
Rangers have agreed to a transfer embargo, but with this not starting until 1st September Ally McCoist has time to rebuild his squad.
"Andrew Little is coming back to the club," chief executive Charles Green told the club's official website. "We've agreed terms with him and hopefully he will re-sign tomorrow.
"So I think people will see Rangers coming out of the mire, as it were, and there is a lot of confidence around the club."
"Some of our senior players have agreed to stay with us and that's really commendable because you couldn't blame them for picking up their bags and going elsewhere," Green added.
"For Alistair now the balance is getting the players in that can play in the Third Division but can also move forward as the club moves forward."
McCoist is also poised to bring in Ian Black and Craig Beattie after running the rule over the Hearts pair in training, while St Mirren winger Gary Teale is also on his radar.
Green expects newco Rangers' membership of the SFA to be confirmed within 24 hours.
