Former Everton and Huddersfield Town full-back Gary Naysmith is hoping that he will be offered a contract by Aberdeen.
Naysmith left Huddersfield at the end of last season and has linked up with Aberdeen on the club's pre-season trip to Germany.
The former Scotland international is keen to return to the SPL and the 33-year-old is waiting to see if Dons boss Craig Brown will hand him a deal.
"There are a few offers there for me but Aberdeen is the one which I am most interested in," said Naysmith.
"I've been away from Scottish football for 12 years so if I come back it will be like a fresh challenge again but I am under no illusions.
"Craig hasn't promised me anything so we will just have to wait and see what happens."
