Former Hearts striker ready to resume full training

Former Hearts striker Kevin Kyle has been contacted by Hibernian as he looks to get his career back on track following hip surgery. The 31-year-old was released from his contract with Hearts in March and has been searching for a new club since the start of the summer. An opportunity has now presented itself to him after Hibs assistant boss Billy Brown got in touch to check on his progress. Kyle insists he is ready to resume full training and he believes he can still perform at a good level. "I returned from honeymoon and had a message on my phone from Billy, who said Hibs boss Pat Fenlon had asked him to give me a call," he told the Daily Record. "Billy knows me well from when we were both at Hearts and he was assistant to Jim Jeffereies, and he wanted to know what my situation was for next season. "I'll speak to Hibs and take it from there but the priority is to get a good pre-season under my belt and get back to a level I know I can play at."
