Crewe have blocked a move by non-league neighbours Nantwich to take Jason Oswell on loan.
Nantwich boss Jimmy Quinn asked about Oswell's availability ahead of next week's deadline for loan signings. But Alex manager Steve Davis revealed he wants the 19-year-old to remain at Gresty Road for the end-of-season run-in as he would not be allowed to recall him for the first 28 days. The striker impressed during a loan spell at Rhyl earlier this season. Meanwhile, Crewe have allowed left-back Andy White to extend his loan spell at the Weaver Stadium until the end of the campaign.
