Rangers manager Ally McCoist has revealed he is keen to tie down Sone Aluko and Sasa Papac to new contracts.

Aluko and Papac will both set to be offered new deals

Rangers manager Ally McCoist has revealed he is keen to tie down Sone Aluko and Sasa Papac to new contracts. Both players will be out of contract at the end of the season, but McCoist has indicated Aluko and Papac both 'deserve' the chance to extend their careers at Ibrox. And the Rangers boss has been particularly impressed with the working relationship between the versatile Papac and Lee Wallace. McCoist said: "With the current climate and the situation we are in, I would have to say both Sasa Papac and Sone Aluko deserve new contracts. Of that there is no doubt. "Sone has been a breath of fresh air. Sasa had a couple of periods out with illness, but he is so solid. He has performed very well in all of his years at the club. "He can play a few positions - centre-back and in midfield as well as left-back. So I would say that both Sone and Sasa are two players we're keen to hold onto. "Of late Sasa and Lee Wallace have formed a good understanding and relationship on the left side, because both of them can play left-back or one forward. "I think Lee in the last few games has played really well and it looks as though he is settling in now and enjoying it."
