Pars midfielder admits timing of fitness problems has been 'terrible'

Dunfermline Athletic midfielder Craig Easton has expressed his frustration at the injuries which have prevented him from making an impact at East End Park. The 32-year-old joined the Pars in August after leaving Southend United but he has been limited him to just three appearances. The latest injury - a torn calf muscle - has ruled him out of Saturday's trip to Rangers and, with his contract up in January, Easton's opportunities to impress are running out. "It's been massively frustrating," he said. "I've been up here and I've hardly kicked a ball. I can't dress it up in any other way - it's been a nightmare. "I don't think I've ever had a spell of injuries like this in my career and the timing is terrible. "Being on a short-term contract makes it all the more frustrating." Dunfermline are currently third bottom in the SPL table, having won just one of their last 12 league games.
