Bhoys defender hoping to be fit inside three months

Celtic defender Mark Wilson has expressed his relief at being told he will only be facing 10 weeks on the sidelines. The ex-Dundee United stopper had feared he could miss the remainder of the SPL season as he required a knee operation. However, Wilson has undergone an arthroscopy procedure, and, much to his relief, he is only expected to be out of action for up to three months. The 27-year-old is adopting a positive approach to his recovery and hopes to be fit and available for manager Neil Lennon as soon as possible.

Expectations

"I was going down there really expecting to be out for the rest of the season," he told Celtic View. "But I got told that it was three months and there's the possibility, if rehab goes according to plan, I could shave a few weeks off that. "It could turn out to be 10 weeks which is a massive bonus for me. It could have been 10 months - but now it's 10 weeks."
