Rangers new boy ready for 'Old Firm' experience

Rangers' new arrival Matt McKay has set his sights on a role in next week's Old Firm derby. The Australian midfielder was on the bench for Saturday's game against Dundee United at Tannadice Park. The former Brisbane Roar player arrived in Scotland this week and is looking forward to experiencing the white-hot atmosphere at Ibrox even if he does not get any playing time. "It's pretty early on in my career here, but I've got all next week to impress and to fit in with the boys and understand what they are all about as well," said McKay. "To have that game the second week that I'm here is going to be great, just to get the experience. "Even if I don't play I can understand what the game is about, and get ready for ones in the future. "I've done pre-season with Brisbane Roar, and played in international games so I'm fit when the manager needs me."
