Sierra Leone star admits Bhoys are a 'good club'

AIK Stockholm striker Mohamed Bangura would be interested in joining Celtic if the club had a bid accepted for his services. Celtic are eager to land the 22-year-old, as first revealed by skysports.com last week, ahead of the transfer window closing on Wednesday. The Bhoys are believed to have watched the in-demand Sierra Leone star in action on Sunday night in their Swedish game against Syrianska. However, Blackburn are also interested and Belgian side Club Brugge are understood to have had a £1.8million offer rejected by the Swedes. Bangura is staying calm over his future, stating he will only consider leaving once a bid has been accepted by AIK.

Good club

"I know Celtic were here and watched me," he told the Daily Record. "They are a good club but I do not know what will happen. "Many clubs are interested in me but it's up to AIK. They have said no to some bids already but I am not really stressed about the situation. "If the right club come up with the right bid for me, I am going to be happy." Bhoys first-team coach Alan Thompson has confirmed the club are keen on bringing Bangura to the club before the window closes. "We want to sign one or two to make us stronger and Bangura is one of them," confirmed Thompson.
