Israeli hitman considering Gers offer
Rangers boss Ally McCoist expects to know next week if striker Tomer Hemed will become his first capture at Ibrox.
The Scottish Premier League champions have held negotiations with the Israel international as the new manager looks to strengthen the squad he inherited from Walter Smith.
Hemed, 24, has also been linked with a move to Spain but will mull over the possibility of a switch to Glasgow over the next couple of days.
McCoist told www.stv.tv: "He will consider Rangers' offer over the weekend and make his mind up next week."
Meanwhile, McCoist has welcomed a tough opener against Hearts in his first SPL game at the helm.
He added: "It's a tough start but I'm really looking forward to welcoming Jim Jefferies, Billy Brown and the Hearts team to Ibrox on the opening day."
