Aberdeen goalkeeper Jamie Langfield was released from hospital on Thursday to continue his recovery from a seizure.
The 31-year-old shot-stopper was admitted to Glasgow Southern General on Monday after suffering the brain disorder.
Aberdeen released a statement on their website saying there were a "few details regarding the cause of Jamie's illness to be determined" and asked for his family's privacy to be respected.
The Paisley-born keeper made 38 appearances for the Dons last season, helping them to a ninth-placed finish in the Scottish Premier League.
Langfield joined Aberdeen from Dunfermline in 2005 and has made 187 appearances for the club. His current contract runs through to next summer.
