Peter MacDonald fears St Johnstone will lose the services of veteran defender Michael Duberry.

Striker does not believe veteran will pen new terms

Ex-St Johnstone striker Peter MacDonald fears the club will lose the services of veteran defender Michael Duberry. The 35-year-old is out of contract at McDiarmid Park this summer and he has hinted at a return to English football. Although the former Leeds and Chelsea man has been offered new terms, MacDonald, who was recently released, does not believe he will extend his stay. "I think his time is up with the club as I know he misses his family who are still in London," said MacDonald. "I suspect Doobs has made up his mind and that was his farewell at the weekend against St Mirren. He will be a huge loss to the team."
