Sissoko eyes Killie stay

Kilmarnock's Mahamadou Sissoko is hoping to seal a permanent move to the Rugby Park outfit.

On-loan defender does not want Italy return

Kilmarnock's on-loan defender Mahamadou Sissoko is hoping to seal a permanent move to the Rugby Park outfit. The 22-year-old defender is due to spend the season with the SPL club on loan from Serie A outfit Udinese. Sissoko has started four of the club's six league games this term and is enjoying his time in Scotland. The Frenchman has enjoyed his warm welcome from fans while labelling Italian supporters as 'crazy' and 'hooligans'.

Happy

"I'm happy with Kilmarnock and I would prefer to remain in Scotland," he said. "Over here supporters are more understanding. In Italy, though, they are crazy. There are too many hooligans. "When you lose the people criticise you and insult you and it's just too much. "It's very difficult for players to go into their own city centre afterwards because people will shout insults at you."
