Buddies boss keen on free agent

Danny Lennon hopes to bolster his St Mirren squad with the addition of free agent striker Alan Gow. Gow, who finished last term on loan with Hibernian, is on the lookout for a new club after being released by Plymouth over the summer. The 27-year-old watched St Mirren's 4-0 defeat to Celtic on Sunday and Lennon hopes the striker has not been put off joining. Lennon has held talks with the experienced hit-man and is crossing his fingers he can now acquire Gow's signature. "I've had a couple of meetings now with Alan Gow and I know he was at the game so hopefully seeing us at our worst hasn't put him off," said Lennon. "There are a few clubs after him, but we've done everything we can to pull out all the stops to get a quality player like that in."
