Young keeper leaves SPL club
Dunfermline have signed St Mirren goalkeeper Chris Smith on a free transfer following his loan last season.
The 24-year-old made 92 appearances for the Saints during his six-year spell with the club, but fell down the pecking order behind Paul Gallacher and Mark Howard.
Smith, a former Scotland Under-21 international, has recently recovered from cruciate ligament damage and has opted to move on to pastures new.
He spent a spell on loan with the Pars last season and has now signed for the club on a permanent basis.
St Mirren manager Danny Lennon told the club's official website: "He was on loan there last season and obviously made a big impression - we wish him well with his new side."
